FAQ

Where is your product made?

Our entire collection is crafted by hand in small quantities right here in our Calgary studio. We take pride in the fact that as much as 90% of our materials and products are sourced locally from Canada.

What is your product made out of?

Our pieces are crafted using an environmentally friendly resin, sourced right here in Canada. This resin is a unique blend of a reactive mineral base and a pure water-based resin, ensuring both quality and sustainability in every creation.

Is my product food safe and fire resistant?

Our products are crafted with water-based, solvent-free materials, completely free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Each piece undergoes meticulous hand polishing and wax sealing to ensure your safety. We advise using them exclusively for dry food presentation to maintain their integrity.

To preserve their quality, refrain from exposing them to direct heat sources like ovens, microwaves, or dishwashers, as they may cause damage. Please note that due to the nature of our materials, certain foods may leave markings on the surface.

Is your process friendly to the environment?

In our studio, we are committed to operating without the use of plastic. Instead, we rely on reusable silicone mixing tools and other items that can be washed and used again, minimizing waste. Any leftover materials are repurposed or recycled responsibly. We encourage our customers to remove any stickers from our shipping boxes before recycling them, ensuring proper disposal.

Do you take custom orders?

While we're not accepting custom orders at the moment, it's something we're open to exploring in the future.

Is it normal to see minor bubbles on the surface of my pieces?

Certainly! Each piece may exhibit slight surface and base bubbles, along with minor variations in color and texture. These characteristics are inherent to the natural artisanal process and should not be viewed as defects. Our resin comprises a reactive mineral base and a pure water-based resin, blended to form a mixture poured into our molds. As the resin cures, air bubbles naturally rise to the surface, contributing to the unique texture and finish of our creations.
